Looking for a fun and exciting way to experience small-town America? Look no further than Frontier Day in Alvin, Texas! This year's festivities promise to be bigger and better than ever, with a weekend of events that will delight visitors of all ages.
Things start Thursday evening when the Mighty Thomas Carnival opens at Stanton's parking lot. From there, the fun never stops! On Friday night, we'll be hosting an old-fashioned "Barn Dance" at The Chameleon Event Center, complete with live music by The Cheeney Brothers Band, food, beer, and plenty of dancing. Best of all, it's FREE and open to the public! Plus, you'll have the chance to win big with our Club 100 raffle tickets!
But the real excitement happens on Saturday, when we take over National Oak Park and the surrounding parking lots for a full day of Frontier Day fun. You won't want to miss the popular Frontier Day Parade, which winds its way through the historic downtown area of Alvin. And if you're a car enthusiast, check out the Antique, Classic & Collectible Car and Bike Show, which runs all day and features some of the most interesting vehicles.
For those who want to sit back and relax, we'll have a "saloon" beer garden open for adults 21 and up, where you can enjoy some drinks, play games like corn hole, and listen to live music throughout the day. And of course, there will be plenty of food and drink booths set up throughout National Oak Park to keep you fueled up for all the fun. With more food vendors than ever before, you're sure to find something to suit your tastes!
This year marks the 49th annual Frontier Day sponsored by Alvin Rotary Club, and we can't wait to share it with you. In addition to all the exciting events and activities already mentioned, we also have over 130 arts and crafts booths, offering something for everyone to enjoy. Kids will love taking a ride on the kiddy train, playing mini golf, and bouncing around in the Kids Zone, complete with moonwalks and bouncers. And throughout the day, there will be youth performances showcasing the talents of some of the area's most talented young people. And let's not forget the live bands playing throughout the day, providing the perfect soundtrack for all the festivities.
So gather your friends and family, pack your bags, and come on down to Alvin for a weekend of good old-fashioned fun! With so much to see, do, and experience, there's no better way to spend a weekend than at Frontier Day.
