Along the street of the 12 showcase homes will be expansive winter displays, as well as a 25-foot Santa Claus. Children will be able to experience story time with Mrs. Claus, take photos with Santa, interact with strolling costumed Christmas characters, and take a train ride on the MainStreet Express. There will also be games and holiday movies in the lodge area located next to MainStreet Café and MainStreet Furniture & Accessories.
Other festivities include, drinking hot chocolate or wassail and eating s’mores from MainStreet Café while sitting next to the fire pit, enjoying the nightly snowfalls, and listening to live music. After visiting all 12 homes to view individually themed decorations and lighting, guests can watch the Santa Parade make its way through the MainStreet America Park. Children will be given goody bags full of holiday surprises.
On Dec. 20, MainStreet America will host a special Hanukkah celebration where the story of Hanukkah will be told. There will be a 12-foot menorah that will light up the park, as well as a three-foot dreidel. There will be delicious Jewish food available at MAIN Restaurant and MainStreet Café and children will also receive Hanukkah treats.
For families who make reservations, there will be a Dinner With Santa every Saturday at 5 p.m. in the MAIN Restaurant. Members receive a discount on this event.
Christmas on MainStreet is a great opportunity to start a new Christmas or Hanukkah tradition. Families can come here to find inspiration for decorating their home for the holidays.
Admission tickets will be available beginning in November. Guests with annual memberships receive free access to this event.
