Conroe Art League is a nonprofit organization of vibrant artists and art lovers. The art league was started in Conroe in 1963 by seven local artists. There are now over 250 members. Art education is a top priority for CAL. Artists teach on-going classes in the gallery in many mediums. There is something for everyone at every level of skill or interest. Every month artists come together to exhibit a new show with “Meet the Artist” receptions. In addition to the Gallery show, the art league holds a spring and fall competition. Also, CAL artists spend time working with the community in numerous outreach programs as well as a volunteering at the Woodlands Waterway Art Festival.
