CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN CHEF CAMP! • $285

AGES: PK 4 - 6 • 7-9 • 10-11 • 12 - 15

This class is a hands-on cooking and nutrition education curriculum for young people ages 5 through 15. Our kids cooking classes introduce youth to the pleasures of preparing and enjoying "real food" that is both nutritious and delicious - an essential step toward health and well-being. Students learn basic cooking skills, the joy of eating and cooking with fresh fruits and vegetables, and how to become empowered and conscious consumers in a marketplace that spends millions to persuade children to eat high-calorie, low-nutrient products.

POTTERY CAMP! • $285

AGES: PK 4 - 6 • 7-9 • 10-11 • 12 - 15

This class is designed for the beginner and for those who have taken beginning pottery classes in the past, and will cover the basic and intermediate level working with clay -- this class is mainly focused on wheel-thrown pottery (centering, pulling walls, shaping and trimming) and glazing with some exposures to hand building. We'll give your child the basic skills and knowledge so you are ready, if you choose, to become an open studio member. Typically, students take this class more than once before they are comfortable moving on to the next level. Our teaching method is thorough covering each aspect of the potter's wheel step by step with hands-on instructions.

SNAP! PHOTOGRAPHY CAMP • $285

AGES: 7-9 • 10-11 • 12 - 15

Photography Camp inspires young people to explore their communities through a camera's lens and to share their vision through public presentations and exhibitions. Course topics include how light, contrast, composition and shutter speeds work together to produce vibrant digital images. Working with their own DSLR camera, campers receive personalized, field-based instruction on how to improve their photography. No previous experience is necessary. All levels welcome!
