Musical Theatre teaches children: team work, hard work, and preserverance. All students will work together to complete a musical theatre production. Our musical theatre students are accepted into: The High School of Visual and Performing Arts (HSPVA), and The TUTS Humphries School of Musical Theatre.
**All participants are required to attend all camp dates.
ADVANCED MUSICAL THEATRE • $300 ( Per Week )
A Chorus Line is a celebration of those unsung heroes of the American Musical Theatre: the chorus dancers – those valiant, over dedicated, underpaid, highly trained performers who back up the star or stars and often make them look even more talented than they are. It is also a celebration of the American Musical itself.
A Chorus Line is also about competition, and competition might easily be the common denominator that grabs the audience and holds it by the collective heart string until the final, ultimate choices are made.
For everyone, at one time or another, puts his life on the line. We all compete, no matter what business we’re in, for promotion, for attention, for approval and for love. Specifically, A Chorus Line takes the audience through the final grueling audition run by the director, Zach, for a new Broadway musical.

A
n eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.
A riotous ride, complete with audience participation, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightful den of comedic genius.

What is hip hop dance? This year the Elite U performing arts department will explore the history of hip hop dance in relation to hip hop music. Units include dances from the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's and today!
