International Bacon Fest (Bacon iFest)

The International Bacon Fest, or Bacon iFest as it's known, celebrates the salty, savory strip of porcine goodness we love to eat. Head to the Houston Toros Soccer Lifestyle Facility with an empty stomach, because the entire venue will be full of bacon and pork-inspired dishes from around the world. Try dishes from Latin America, Asia, the Caribbean, Canada and the United States. Ever had Swine Apple (pulled pork inside a bacon-wrapped, grilled pineapple)? Experienced a bacon bar? How about a bacon-inspired cocktail? There are delicacies galore waiting to be tried, as well as carnival rides, live music, a bacon-eating competition, games, crafts, a pig pen, and more -- truly something for every member of the family. And while you indulge, know that a portion of the event's proceeds will go to Texas Lion Camp, a residential camping facility for children with physical disabilities, type 1 diabetes and cancer.
