2022 Muddy Trails 5K & Muddy Bowl Crawfish Cook-Off

Join us for the annual Muddy Trails 5K and Muddy Bowl Crawfish Cook-Off! The event, sanctioned by USA Track & Field (USATF) will feature a chip-timed 5K trail run winding through the beautiful George Mitchell Nature Preserve. Participants will enjoy a festive post-race party with live Zydeco music, crawfish plates, the Muddy Bowl Crawfish Cook-Off and more.

Think you have the best crawfish in town? Find out by participating in the Muddy Bowl Crawfish Cook-Off! Teams of up to eight members are provided crawfish, ice, serving containers, a 10’x10’ tent, table, chairs, parking passes and a Harris County Temporary Health Permit. Teams must bring their own cooking materials, spices and fire extinguisher. Teams will be judged in the following categories: Best Crawfish (judges’ choice), Best Cajun Dish (not required, awarded by spectators), People’s Choice (awarded by spectators) and Best Decorated Tent (awarded by judges). Entry forms and fees are due no later than Friday, February 11.
