Saturday Morning Art Studio

Ideal for your budding artist, ages 5-12 years old. During this 1.5 hour hands-on, instructor led class, your child will be provided with all of the supplies necessary to create his/her own project masterpiece. Each week, your child will be introduced to new artists, design styles, and techniques. Designed to inspire young artists, our projects incorporate a variety of media and materials to encourage expression of ideas through your child’s original works of art.
Artistic discoveries and projects may include, but are not limited to:
Session I -
Week 1 (2/10): Frida Kahlo ~ all about me - Mexican inspired art & faces
Week 2 (2/17): Michelangelo~ personal expression – paper dot & puppets
Week 3 (2/24): Van Gogh ~ nature & color – prints & mobiles
Week 4 (3/3): Picasso ~ cubism – sculptures & shapes
Week 5 (3/24): Eric Carle ~ author & artist – paper creations
Week 6 (3/31): Monet ~ water & nature – painting & sponges
Session II -
Week 7 (4/7): Seurat ~ pointillism – dots & collage
Week 8 (4/14): Pollack ~ abstract splatter paint – wall mural & painting
Week 9 (4/21): Matisse ~ shapes – geometric shapes
Week 10 (4/28): Frank Lloyd Wright ~ architecture – structures
Tuition options are as follows:
10 Week Session - $199
6 Week Session I* - $135
4 Week Session II - $95
Weekly Class^ - $25/class
*Class will not meet on Saturday, March 10 and 17.
^Please note that a $4.95 registration fee is incurred per class choice. 10, 6, or 4 Week Sessions incur fee only once.
