Solar Eclipse Viewing Party

Are you ready for an out of this world experience? Hang out when it’s shady out and join us for our Solar Eclipse viewing party Aug, 21

The Children’s Museum of Houston will sneak the sunrise past a rooster. You’re invited to look on the sunny side and hang out when it’s shady out. Soak up the sun with Solar Eclipse activities which include making an eclipse pinhole viewer and learning how to use it during our viewing party.
- Event Time: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES:
- Pinhole Viewer Workshop: Make an eclipse viewer and explore what’s going on with an eclipse model at Inventors' Workshop. (Registration is required)
- Solar Eclipse Viewing Party: Have it made in the shade. Learn to use pinhole viewer to watch the eclipse.
- Exploring the Solar System: Learn why the moon and the sun appear the same size at Science Station.
- Exploring the Solar Eclipse: Throw shade and explore what causes an eclipse at Science Station.
- Exploring Earth: Use a flashlight to experiment with shadows at Science Station.
- Pinhole Postcard: Track where you will be when the sun’s not out at Science Station.
