Tiger SOS – Spotlight on Species at the Houston Zoo

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 12/07/2019
In honor of World Tiger Day, join us for a Tiger Spotlight on Species event! See our resident Malayan tigers celebrate with some special enrichment items in their habitat. Attend talks and learn all about tigers as well as palm oil, a key ingredient affecting Malayan tigers in the wild due to its effect on deforestation.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Stop by the Tiger Boardwalk for educational games and crafts, learn more about these amazing endangered species and see what you can do to help!

Did You Know: There are more tigers in private ownership here in Texas alone than there are remaining in the wild in their native habitat in India and Southeast Asia? Tigers are wild animals, not pets! Find out more at this event.

This event is included with your paid Zoo admission and is FREE for Zoo members. Members enjoy free admission year-round and many other benefits; find out more on our Membership page.
