African American Read-In

Join us for the African American Read in at Stimley Blue Ridge! This inspiring event celebrates African American Literature and authors while bringing our community together through the joy of reading. Established in 1990 by the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers (NCTE), the Read-In has connected more than 6 million participants worldwide and is a highlight of Black History Month. We invite YOU our customers and community member to participate in an African American Read-In on February 18, 2026 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at the Stimley Blue Ridge. If you are interested in reading, please send an email to Blu.library@houstontx.gov by February 4,2026.
