You and your students are invited to TOOLFEST Houston, happening on February 12, 2026, at the COMMUNITY COLLECTIVE FOR HOUSTON!
Between 10 am and 3 pm, middle and high school students can engage in hands-on activities and talk with different career experts in the construction, professional building, trades, and real estate industries. Industry representatives will include architects, project managers, and estimators. In the past, attendees have learned how to work a drill, hammer, and examine angles using blueprints.

ABOUT TOOLFEST
TOOLFEST is a free education program for students from various public schools & education programs in the Greater Houston Metro Area. It introduces students to professionals and their tools in the Professional Building Trades, Real Estate, Building Maintenance & Construction industries.
TOOLFEST offers students the opportunity to work on small, safe demonstration projects and engage with the construction-related industry in the Greater Houston Metro Area. Examples of projects and demos include students having the opportunity to:
- Meet and engage with industry professionals
- Participate in hard hat fittings
- Try on safety glasses
- Acquire hands-on familiarity with essential tools
- Learn fundamental industry terminology
