Director's Vision Statement:
Saturday. The best day of the week. Why??? Saturday morning cartoons! We couldn't wait to see what Schoolhouse Rock would play that weekend. My favorites were Conjunction Junction and The Preamble. My sister and I would sing along and not even realize we were learning vocabulary, math, or history on a SATURDAY!
This Spring, we are going back… back to the 1970’s. We are going to have a dance party with the Schoolhouse Rock kids and perform some of our favorite songs like Nouns, I’m Just a Bill, and oh yes, Interplanet Janet.
Schoolhouse Rock Jr is a fast paced, fun filled, roller coaster ride through the space time continuum. No sitting at a desk for these lessons! The cast will be on their feet movin’ and groovin’ the whole way through. There are many named parts, several solos, and named ensemble roles. Review the character descriptions and really let loose with your audition. We'd like to hear fun, upbeat song choices and age appropriate monologues. Use your 2 minutes to knock our socks off!
Dig out your Dad’s bell bottoms. Dust off your Mom’s platforms. We’ll see you auditions!
