Family Adventure Program at the Houston Zoo

Looking for more ways to connect with your family and our native Houston environment? Check out our Family Adventure Programs!

These activities take place all over Houston and the surrounding gulf coast area, and allow participants a truly immersive experience with nature.  They are a great opportunity for families to spend time outdoors on exciting new adventures.  We hope you’ll join us!

June 2 - Fishing
City of Pearland Parks & Recreation Department

Ever wanted to try fishing but didn’t know where to start?  Here’s your chance!  Join us for a morning of fishing with your family.  Our experts will provide the supplies, bait, and tackle; no license necessary!

We’ll be working with the wonderful staff at the City of Pearland Parks & Recreation Department for this experience.  They will provide all the necessary equipment and will be walking us through an in-depth “how to fish” for first time fishermen, women, and kids.  Beat the heat and join us for this morning of outdoor fun!

This program will run from 8:30am – 10:30am on June 2nd at the John Hargrove Environmental Complex in Pearland.  All ages are welcome, and a registration of $15 per person is required for all participants.

*A portion of registration helps support the City of Pearland Parks & Recreation Department.

Registration is required for all participants. Maximum capacity and applicable age limits vary with activity.  Please email
