6th Annual Turkey Pardon
*The event has already taken place on this date: Tue, 11/21/2023
Gather your flock. You're cordially invited to join Kids' Committee President at the Museum's 6th annual Presidential Turkey Pardon!
Did you know that the tradition of "pardoning" the turkey at the White House, was actually started by a kid!? President Abraham Lincoln granted clemency to the main course of his family's Christmas Dinner in 1863 after his son, Tad, interceded on behalf of the turkey's life.
Join us for the odd tradition of "pardoning" the turkey with fowl, fun, fitness and food.
Good eating, Ms. President. But let's keep this one trotting!
