Earn money and get published by entering the 2024 I Am Texas writing and art contest hosted by The Bryan Museum. Elementary students are asked to write a letter to someone, past or present, who has contributed to Texas history or culture, or is your personal hero. The letter can be business or personal and can be about any topic; however, it should show that you understand the importance of this individual’s contribution. Students in middle or high school should use an artifact from The Bryan Museum collection as inspiration for fiction or non-fiction writing, such as literary, informational, argumentative, or correspondence. For some examples, check out the 2024 featured artifacts on the www.iamtx.org website. Students in grades 2-12 can enter drawing or painting focused on the I Am Texas theme. Entry deadline is April 30, 2024.
