Music & Mindfulness

*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 07/27/2020
Music & Mindfulness is a unique camp experience for children who are interested in learning how to play the violin & ukulele. This is a great way to introduce a child to playing an instrument for the first time. We will have fun singing, dancing, drumming, and playing instruments! We will also practice gratitude, breathing exercises, and make crafts that will calm the mind, help with focus, and will help children reflect on kindness for each other and their family members.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Music & Mindfulness is a unique camp experience for children who are interested in learning how to play the violin and ukulele. Many children who attend camp decide after a week if they want to continue private study. This is a great way to introduce a child to playing an instrument for the first time. All campers will have a daily group violin and ukulele lesson, will practice rhythm and tonal work through drumming, song and dance, and have tons of fun! Every day, we will have a craft activity to inspire mindfulness as a general practice. Our camp will start and end with breathing exercises. We will have fun singing, dancing, drumming, and playing instruments! We will also practice gratitude, breathing exercises, and make crafts that will calm the mind, help with focus, and will help children reflect on kindness for each other and their family members.

Music and Mindfulness will help keep your child busy learning while also acquiring some important life skills. On Friday, all parents and or caregivers are invited to a demonstration showing some of the skills and music they learned throughout the week.
