Academy of City Ballet of Houston was founded by Mary Elizabeth Arrington and Luis Fuente. The school is home to City Ballet of Houston, an honor company of Regional Dance America/Southwest. ACBH’s affiliation with City Ballet of Houston allows its students access to performing venues such as Jones Hall, Wortham Center, Miller Outdoor Theatre, and, of course, The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston where the company has performed their Nutcrackers for the past 25 years.
Following the afternoon performances, ballet enthusiasts of all ages will have an opportunity to hear a presentation about the Nutcracker, meet the dancers, and take photos. Admission to this special presentation is included with your ticket to the Saturday or Sunday afternoon performance!
Attending the event meets the requirement for the Girl Scout Nutcracker patch*!
*Nutcracker patches are not provided. *Presentations are after the afternoon shows only.
