Texas Independence Day Celebration

The Woodlands Children’s Museum will celebrate Texas Independence Day Saturday, March 2.

Activities include a performance by the Tall Texan cowboy 10:30-11:30 a.m., country music for children by Prelude noon-12:45 p.m. and photo opportunities with Well Fargo’s famous Stagecoach 10 a.m.-noon.

Author Cherie Foster Colburn will read her book, “Bloomin’ Tales: Legends of Seven Favorite Texas Wildflowers” at 11 a.m. The reading will be followed by a meet-and-greet until 12:30 p.m. when Colburn will sell and sign copies of her book.

Little visitors also can create a special Texas-themed art project and pose for photos with the Tall Texan 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The Texas Independence Day celebration is included in the museum’s regular $7 admission for visitors age 1 and older.

To ensure a fun, safe experience for visitors, museum admissions will be limited.
