Trick or Trade: Riso for Teens

Try your hand at creating your own two-color, trading card zine on a Riso using different printing techniques and various resources from the museum's vintage, letterpress type collection.

The risograph is a Japanese printer-duplicator that is seeing a resurgence in popularity, due to its affordability and unique quality of prints. In this workshop participants will try their hand at creating their own two-color, trading card zine book for Riso. We will cover different printing techniques such as mark-making, knockouts, and overprinting, while using various resources from the Printing Museum’s diverse letterpress type collection.
Materials Students should bring:
- Bring your sketches and ideas on paper
- Preferred drawing tools: markers, pens, and/or pencils
