VIRTUAL EVENT: Cosmic Coffee | Betelgeuse Isn't That Cool - Thursday March 26 at 9am Pacific from the Lowell Observatory
*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 03/26/2020
Cosmic Coffee explores a different topic in astronomy or planetary science each week.
Our inaugural episode focuses on the remarkable dimming of Betelgeuse during the past several months, and its recent brightening. Lowell Observatory Director Dr. Jeff Hall will speak with Lowell Astronomer Dr. Phil Massey, whose recent research with University of Washington colleague Dr. Emily Levesque led to the first published paper on the topic.
Cosmic Coffee live-streams from the AstroLab at Lowell's Giovale Open Deck Observatory (https://lowell.edu/godo).
