Coding Foundations

Students will use hands-on tools, apps, games, and coding robots to learn the fundamentals of coding.

Come check out the latest in pre-reader coding! In this class, students will use hands-on tools, apps, games, and coding robots to learn the fundamentals of coding. Students will work through multiple levels of our Coding Foundations curriculum in preparation for Scratch. Students will be grouped by age and ability level.
For students entering Kindergarten and 1st grades, we typically recommend only taking the foundations class for one or two half-day classes per summer. If they do take 2 classes, they shouldn't be in the same week.
2nd graders who complete Coding Foundations can move on to the Intro to Scratch class this summer.
