Six Pixels blends our classic Moviemaking course with a dedicated Movie Acting class, giving students an opportunity to act for a variety of movies being produced by our filmmaking students. Movie Acting will focus on improvisation, acting techniques, storytelling, staging and blocking for the camera, and working together as a team, as students learn how to act for short films.
This course helps students develop patience and persistence, while learning how to carefully plan their projects, manage their time, and execute their ideas. All materials and supplies are included but students may bring in their own props if desired for Stop Motion.
These STEAM-based YouTube Studios classes are for students who want to understand the world of an Influencer, create episodes for their YouTube channel or Instagram stories and creatively share their stories and ideas on social networks. Goals for this experience include episode creation, understanding branding, understanding how to produce short bursts of video, marketing and streamlining their channel, understanding the business side of YouTube and more.
Take your pick of three back-to-back STEAM-based courses such as filmmaking, movie acting, stop motion animation, YouTube production, video editing, and coding. Classes meet weekly on Saturdays, from noon-3pm.

This class takes students behind-the-scenes as they work with their instructor and other students to write, direct, film, and edit their own short movies. Assignments include individual film challenges as well as group projects. Each class builds a multitude of STEAM skills while working on carefully designed challenges, giving students an opportunity to complete at least one short movie or project each month, and gaining memories that they’ll keep forever.

Disney Codeillusion from Life is Tech is an interactive, gamified coding education program developed by some of the biggest names in the game development and comic book industry. This class is designed as an introduction experience for young coders and designers. Students interact with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Processing programming languages as they enjoy exciting, immersive experiences featuring original Disney characters and stories.
This course teaches students the fundamentals of movie editing, such as trimming and laying out video clips, in addition to adding special effects, music, backgrounds, and more. Projects and curriculum move forward throughout the year, so each class is a new experience with new challenges! All equipment and materials are included.
Come visit our kids' film studio and spend an hour playing with our camera equipment, props, costumes, puppets, legos, greenscreen, stop motion supplies and more! Kids will get the chance to create and star in their own short films.
