Instructor: David Caldwell

DC (David Caldwell) is a forty-two-year-old Scotsman with the heart of a child and the mind of a wizard. He began his life in the theatre at the age of fourteen when he started his own high school drama club performing mainly comedy and by the age of just seventeen, while studying acting and working on stage and television he started his own theatre company MADCAP, where he could utilize his various artistic talents into set, costume & make up design, writing, acting, producing and directing.

It was here he began his true vocation of teaching, working with local children and teens, some from very deprived and difficult backgrounds. By allowing them to explore their challenges through the magic of theatre, DC saw just how powerful his classes would be in turning a child's heart and life around, and so began to train in counselling and went onto study theatre in psychological practice in New York.

He traveled to many countries working with both children and adults who have faced some of life's toughest challenges, like terminal illness, war, and natural disasters. At the age of twenty-eight, he expanded his skill set by moving into film, writing, producing, directing, and acting, in many award winning films but never faltered upon his vocation, developing film and media projects and workshops for some of the world’s most vulnerable people.
