Discover what it takes to be a Marine Biologist for a Day!

Join us at the Aquarium during any of our special events and upgrade your visit! This is a Kemah Boardwalk-wide event, homeschoolers and their families will receive discounts on rides and retail! We are now giving guests, friends and families the chance to upgrade their experiences with a 5 hour long day camp program, Marine Biologist for a Day! Upgrade prices below include your entry admission to Stingray Reef & Exhibits!

Marine Biologist for a Day! $39.99 (Ages 6-12)

Drop your child off for the day or join in with them to see if they have what it takes to become a Marine Biologist! Participants spend the day behind-the -scenes learning what it takes to be a Marine Biologist. Participants will spend a day behind the scenes, where all the science-in-action takes place. Experience close encounters with aquatic species from the deep sea to the shallow reef and everywhere in between. They will even get to dissect a squid!

Special Needs

If a child has any special needs, allergies, or health concerns, please note this when registering. Participants must be able to administer their own medication (i.e. inhalers, epi-pens) if needed, as Aquarium Staff are not permitted to administer medications. Medications will not be provided by the Aquarium (ex. Tylenol, Benedryl, etc.). Liability

Kemah Aquarium Restaurant, Landry’s Restaurants, Inc., and its employees are not liable for any injury or loss suffered by you or the minor child during the program. Additionally, you are waiving your right to make demand upon Kemah Aquarium Restaurant, Landry’s Restaurants, Inc., and its employees for payment of any damages suffered by you or the minor child during the program, whether such damages are caused by physical injury, loss of property, or acts of a third party.

Program Availability

Marine Biologist for a Day requires a minimum of 10 registered participants in order for the program to proceed. If this attendance minimum is not met 1 week prior to the program date, you will be contacted to reschedule or be fully refunded.

The Aquarium also reserves the right to cancel any program at any time for the health and safety of our employees, animals, and visitors, in which case full refunds will be issued.

Guidelines

• Ages 6-12
• Two (2) week notice is recommended for best availability.
• Marine Biologist for a Day packages requires a minimum of 10 children.
• After you have registered online you will be emailed with the required forms that must be completed fully to confirm your registration.
• No outside food or beverages are allowed.
• Assigned guides will be with the group at all times.
• We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items the duration of the program.

• The calendar on this page showcases dates and times available.
• Programing includes entry Admission to Stingray Reef and Exhibits (for registered participants and 1 Adult Chaperone only). You do not have to purchase separately.*
• Additional fish food is available for purchase day of for $2.99
• ALL participants must purchase your upgraded admission tickets online or register for this program in advance.
• Space is limited, advanced online reservations are required and are served on a first come, first served basis.
• Due to space constraints in the classroom space, only 1 Adult Chaperone will be admitted to the Classroom Programs free of charge. Additional adults can enjoy the aquarium while their students are in the class. Siblings and strollers are not allowed in the Classroom Programs.
• Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your event to allow for parking to ensure your experience to the fullest extent possible at your programs start time. The program spaces are utilized at various durations throughout the day and cannot be extended beyond your scheduled time.
• Check-in for programs and tours is located at the entrance of the Nautilus Ballroom located on the 3rd floor.
• To begin your tour/program, meet in the Aquarium Restaurant in the Nautilus Ballroom with the group at the start time after checking in.
• Redeem your Admissions by providing your emailed receipt to the Treasure Chest Gift Shop.
• No outside food or beverages are allowed.
• We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items the duration of the program.
• We will need a minimum of 10 participants to run each program, if the programing does not reach this minimum, you will be contacted and full refunds will be processed if necessary.
