Get ready to scrub in and explore where medicine, nutrition, and fitness converge in a whirlwind of engaging activities! During Medical Science Week, campers will:
- Craft their own medical tools, like stethoscopes, and create anatomical art projects
- Conduct hands-on science experiments, such as testing lung capacity, monitoring heart rates, and experimenting with bone density
- Engage in sensory exploration to learn how the brain processes information and how our senses work together
- Design and build medical innovations like prototype prosthetics and emergency first-aid kits
- Participate in fitness challenges to understand how exercise supports a healthy body and track their progress
- Gain essential first-aid training, learning how to bandage wounds and handle basic medical emergencies
- Whip up “body-boosting” snacks like fruit “vein” kabobs and edible cell models in culinary adventures
- Strengthen their confidence with “Medical Marvel” presentations, where they showcase their findings and inventions
From building working lung models to testing their detective skills in medical mysteries, this week is packed with creativity, discovery, and empowerment. By the end of the week, campers will have new knowledge, unforgettable memories, and the confidence to become future health heroes!
