Enjoy creative fun with Summer Art Camps at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts! Each week is packed with creative crafts, artful activities, and marvelous masterpieces, giving kids the chance to explore new techniques, express their creativity, and have fun making art all summer long!
The Pearl’s Summer Art Camps are designed for ages 5 to 8 and 9 to 13. Held each week from June 16 through July 31, camps meet Tuesday through Friday in all-day or half-day formats. Families may register for all six weeks or select their favorites.
This week’s camp for ages 5 to 8 is Color World!
Drawing inspiration from the museum's summer exhibition, Chromatica: A World in Color, campers will explore the wonders of color through hands-on art projects, an interative gallery tour, and engaging activities led by experienced art educators. The "Color World" theme invites children to discover how artists use color to express emotions, tell stories, and create magical worlds. From painting and collage to sculpture and collaborative murals, each project is crafted to spark creativity and celebrate individuality.
Campers will also spend time in the galleries of the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts, exploring the summer exhibition. Surrounded by art of every color and style, campers will be inspired to head back to their studio classrooms and create their own masterpieces.
