Get ready to explore the exciting world of animal care and science during Veterinary Science Week! Campers will:
- Craft their own vet kits and create animal-themed art projects, like pet ID tags and animal anatomy collages
- Conduct hands-on science experiments to learn about animal anatomy, reflexes, and how different body systems work
- Discover wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting animal habitats while learning first-aid care for animals in need
- Participate in fun cooking activities that teach the basics of animal nutrition, creating meals that mimic healthy diets for pets and wildlife
- Put their engineering skills to work as they design and build mock animal habitats and care tools, like pet feeders and mini animal shelters
- Strengthen their confidence with “Animal Care Reports,” presenting what they’ve learned about different species and how to keep them healthy
- Enjoy special guest visits from real-life veterinary professionals, who will share insights about their careers and demonstrate animal care techniques
From diagnosing plush pets in the “Camp Vet Clinic” to creating habitats for imaginary animals, Veterinary Science Week is packed with creativity, discovery, and empowerment. By the end of the week, campers will have new knowledge, unforgettable memories, and the confidence to care for animals big and small!
