Children’s Campfire Christmas is back this year with a new batch of Christmas fun! Participate in fun Christmas crafts, take a hayride through the Park and sing Christmas songs around the campfire. A light dinner is included in the ticket price.
Christmas is coming to the Park this year in all of its historical glory. Travel through Christmas pasts as we explore the customs and decorations from the 1830s to the 1930s. Make sure to stop by the 1860s Ryon Prairie Home for a Christmas treat or visit Santa’s temporary workshop at the 1930s “Bach House.” Special holiday activity classes will be held from 11 a.m-2 p.m.
We’re opening on September 29, 2018 for the 17th year of Texas-sized fun at Dewberry Farm! You’ll find old favorite attractions (the Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch!) and some delightful new ones — plus a whole lotta good things to eat and drink! Wine and beer in the Cantina this year!
Prepare for the countdown to 2019 with a historical mask-making and noisemaking craft and learn the dos and don’ts of “first-footing.” At noon, a countdown will be held at the 1830s Jones Stock Farm followed by a special New Year’s Eve meal at 12:30 p.m. in the yard of the 1930s George Home.
Put on your best Stetson and join us for a cattle drive experience. The fall cattle drives of old generally kicked off in early-October, so in honor of this tradition, join us as we bring the cattle to “market” at our reproduction rail car at 11 a.m. & 2 p.m.
En plein air is the act of painting outdoors. Join us on Saturday, November 3 to watch local artists find inspiration throughout our Historical Park. At 5 p.m., we will end the day with a special public reception and showing of the art created at the Park on that day.
Splashway Campgrounds presents Halloweekends, a 6-week event filled with fall and Halloween themed activities the whole family will enjoy! Starting September 22nd, get into the “spirit” of the season with a ghoulishly great time at Splashway.
