ABNC EcoCamps are engaging day camps for children ages 4 to 13 years old.
Half Day (8:30am-11:30am) and Full Day (8:30am-3:30pm) Camp Sessions are Available.
A typical day at camp blends nature exploration with active outdoor experiences under the guidance of knowledgeable educators. Campers learn more about the natural world through activities like: Fishing, Canoeing, Pond Exploration, Insect Collecting, Bird Watching, Hiking, Dip Netting, Arts and Crafts, Live Animal Presentations, and Camp Games. We divide the children into small groups by age where they participate in exciting, age-appropriate, hands-on activities. So Unplug and Get into Nature!
This summer's EcoCamps feature topics like Animals of ABNC, Buzz & Flutter (pollinators), Habitats are Hip, Radical Reptiles, and Water Wizards. Morning and afternoon topics are different. Find out more about Summer EcoCamps at https://www.abnc.org/ecocamps
Campers should bring a refillable water bottle and snack, along with a change of clothes. Campers staying for a full day will have a lunch and recess break and should pack a lunch, two snacks, refillable water bottle, and change of clothes. Insect repellent and hats are also recommended.
June 30-July3 and August 5-7 are single-day Seasonal EcoCamps with special topics. You may sign up for one or all of the days. These camps feature fun nature-related activities from 9am to 3pm. Find out more about Seasonal EcoCamps at https://www.abnc.org/sesaonal-ecocamps
EcoCamps are held rain or shine. All planned outdoor activities depend on the weather. Covered areas and air-conditioned rooms are available to campers.
Come and enjoy the outdoors this summer at Armand Bayou Nature Center!
