BotaniCamp connects children with plants and nature through thoughtful and diverse lessons, with creative hands-on activities. Our sensory and inquiry-driven curriculum allows campers to go beyond just observation and discover a whole new world.

Camps are for Children ages 5-11.

June 19-23: Flower Power – Flowers are all around us. They are beautiful, colorful, and even…delicious? During Flower Power, campers will learn all about the life-cycles, features, friends, and secrets of flowers!

June 26-30: Farms and Fields – Farms are amazing places. They grow the food we eat, along with other useful plants. They support farm animals, wildlife, and us! They are also places where innovation and science happen. In Farms and Fields we’ll explore everything from soil to seed and discover the magic of farms.

July 17-21: Garden Explorer Camp – The Garden has miles of trails and a million things to see and experience. This week campers will get hands-on with nature, gardening, and other outdoor activities. We’ll explore the entire property, discover amazing things, make cool crafts, and lasting memories.

July 24-28: Potions and Provisions - Discover the healing power of common weeds, kitchen herbs, and other medicinal plants in this fun and interactive experience! We will wonder down to the untouched parts of the garden to see which medicinal and edible plants are growing wild, learn how to identify them, and harvest herbs from our Apothecary corner in the garden to make powerful potions to bring home and share with family.

July 31st – August 4th: Bayou to Bay – Water is essential to life on earth, but we sometimes take it for granted. During this week, campers will learn where water comes from, where it goes, and how they can care for it. They’ll make a splash in our storm water wetlands and Sims Bayou, and even visit the Galveston Bay to find out what lies at the end of our local water-sheds.

*This camp includes a visit to the Galveston Bay Foundation’s Trinity Bay Discovery Center. We will transport campers, but parents are also welcome to drive their camper and join the fun for the day!

August 7-11: Insect Investigators – Insects are the most diverse group of animals living on earth! In this camp, young entomologists will investigate pests, pollinators, and everything in between. Make an insect collection, conduct experiments, interact with live insects, and explore habitats! Campers will learn all about the tiny creatures that rule the world.

August 14-18: Flower Power – Flowers are all around us. They are beautiful, colorful, and even…delicious? During Flower Power, campers will learn all about the life-cycles, features, friends, and secrets of flowers!

August 21-25: Farms and Fields – Farms are amazing places. They grow the food we eat, along with other useful plants. They support farm animals, wildlife, and us! They are also places where innovation and science happen. In Farms and Fields we’ll explore everything from soil to seed and discover the magic of farms.
