IMPROVISATION
Learn to think on your feet. Quick and confident answers are crucial, especially during commercial auditions. Be ready for when casting directors say “Just Do Something!”
SCENE STUDY & CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Learn to breakdown scenes quickly and pick up hidden information. Know which questions to ask as you learn how to create your character, find your back-story, and develop emotional extremes.
AUDITION EXERCISES
Learn how to walk into an audition and “Own the Room”. Audition techniques include slating, working to the camera or with a reader, understanding the camera, and the overall commercial casting process. How to deal with various audition scenarios, hitting your mark, dealing with scene partners, and how to exit a room.
COMMERCIAL AUDITIONING
Learn to break down the copy and emphasize what is important, read as a spokesperson or with a scene partner. You can’t be self-conscious when performing commercial copy. It may seem silly at times but...SILLY SELLS!
FILM AUDITIONING
You must be completely natural and believable or you won’t make it to the second round. Make strong and bold choices concerning your character and learn to take adjustments. Understand how to handle both ‘Good’ and ‘Bad’ audition scenarios.
