Chinese Moon Festival

Visitors are invited to experience a celebration focused on gratitude and joyful reunions with loved ones when The Woodlands Children’s Museum presents a Chinese Moon Festival 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.

The Moon Festival is considered the second most important festival in China, after the Chinese New Year, and is honored in other east Asian countries, too.
During The Woodlands Children’s Museum’s celebration, little ones will be able to delight in a Shadow Puppet presentation of “A Big Moon Cake for Little Star,” by Miss Jan 11-11:15 a.m.
Lianhong Thestory will present a magic show noon-12:20 p.m. and musician Henry Yang will perform 1-1:20 p.m.
Visitors also can create mooncake art in the MUSE, the museum’s art bar area, try their hand at Chinese calligraphy and fashion Chinese pinwheels.
