THE GEORGE RANCH

The George Ranch is a 20,000-acre working ranch located in Fort Bend County, Texas. Founded in 1824, the ranch’s legacy is woven throughout the fabric of our Fort Bend community. School groups and the general public experience the Ranch and explore 100 years of Texas history in an interactive and authentic environment through tours and educational experiences.

The Ranch is open to the general public on Saturdays year-round from 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. and during school holidays. 

Summer hours during June and July are Tuesday through Friday 9:00am to 2:00pm, and Saturdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The Ranch is closed four weeks in August. 

Pre-booked Field Trips and Group Tours are available year round Tuesday- Friday 9:00am- 2:00pm.

The Ranch is closed New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
