The son of legendary saxophonist Dewey Redman, Joshua Redman is a leading force in jazz today. The son pays homage to the father in Still Dreaming — a program of new compositions inspired by his father’s band, Old and New Dreams, which featured an unforgettable lineup of Ornette Coleman alumni: Dewey Redman, Don Cherry, Charlie Haden, and Ed Blackwell. For Still Dreaming, Joshua Redman taps drummer Brian Blade, bassist Scott Colley, and trumpeter Ron Miles to celebrate the tradition of innovation fostered by Coleman.
