Recently named one of Musical America's Top 30 Influencers of 2015 and Artistic Director of the 2016 National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra Summer Festival, conductor Mei-Ann Chen will lead the orchestra for this special program. The Houston Symphony also welcomes violinist Jessica Lee as she makes her Houston Symphony debut performing a Sarasate showstopper and the treasured Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto. Describing her recital on the Ravinia Rising Stars series, the Chicago Tribune said: “...Lee's breathtaking dexterity should enchant anyone within hearing distance.”
