Pets With A Mission, Inc. (PWAM) previously known as Montgomery Pet Partners, Inc. (MPP) is a non-profit organization using the human-animal bond to improve the literacy skills of children in schools and libraries; educate students in the care, handling, and welfare of pets; and enhance the quality of life in individuals in hospitals and senior facilities. As a group of volunteers in combination with pets, we use this naturally occurring affection connection between people and pets to fulfill our mission.
Pets With A Mission has four areas for volunteering: Hospitals, Senior Facilities, Libraries, and Schools. In our schools, we use the Reading Education Assistance Dogs® (R.E.A.D.®) program. Each area has its own challenges and rewards.
