Play for Life Houston

Currently, there are 85,000 children ages of 6 to 16 in the Houston Metro low-income areas with an average income of $28,000. The lack of financial support in organized sports robs the children in these areas of the opportunity for physical activity, coaching, being part of a team, learning skills, and substantial time away from "negative recreation" (drugs, violence or sexual activities). Play for Life Houston is a non-profit organization with 100% volunteer staff to shape the life of the children of these communities who otherwise would not have been given a chance to be a kid and grow in a healthy and confident manner.
