Prelude Music Foundation

The Prelude Music Foundation (PMF) was founded with the mission to transform the lives and enhance the education of young children in Houston through the power of music. PMF specializes in Music Together®, a research-based music and movement curriculum that supports the cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical and music development of young children. PMF serves Pre-K and Kindergarten students, providing them with a weekly music class during the most formative years of their development. 

We partner with like-minded early childhood and elementary schools, bringing a 30-week in-school music residency into their classrooms o a weekly basis.Our dynamic, high-impact program has transformed the lives of thousands of children, teachers, and families. We use music as a powerful way to promote interpersonal connection and create a joyful, accepting, and nurturing learning environment where social-motional, cognitive, physical, academic, and musical development is possible.
