Program Summary
Drop the kids off for up close animal encounters, behind the scenes scoops, science experiments, arts and crafts, enjoy all of our educational programs, and rides on the Kemah Boardwalk!
Monday: Marine Biologist for a Day
Learn what it takes to be a bony fish and the key roles they play in their ecosystems! Includes an Exhibit tour and Squidy Anatomy (classroom program) where campers dissect squid. Learn about water quality testing. Play in activities sure to break the ice and More!
Tuesday: Animal Husbandry
Learn what it takes to care for Taco our Red Footed Tortoise! Includes Creature Feature (classroom program) where campers learn about animal characteristics. Play an interactive games that teach campers about animal behaviors and enrichment and interview a Biologist! Learn about Life Support Systems in Aquariums and More!
Wednesday: Elasmobranchs & Echinoderms
Learn all about sharks and rays and solve a mystery involving a missing link in the food chain within a delicate ocean ecosystem! Includes Coral Communities (classroom program). Observe an elasmobranch enrichment while interacting with the stingrays! Watch the shark feeding frenzy in our featured dining tank, meet our PADI certified divers, engage in arts and crafts activities, touch live sea stars, play in the Dancing Fountains, ride on the Boardwalk Beast and More!
Thursday: Reptiles and Arthropods
Learn all about Reptiles and Arthropods. Includes Radical Reptiles (classroom program) where campers learn about reptilian characteristics. Enjoy Reptile and Arthropod Encounters with our Biologists, scavenger hunts, ride the train, participate in arts and crafts and More!
Friday: Party for the Planet!
Learn about all about conservation and recycling! Includes Rockin’ the Rainforest (classroom program) where campers learn about the layers of the rainforest, the animals that live in each layer and the adaptations they have. Hands on Water Pollution Experiment, Rides on the Kemah Boardwalk and More!
Special Needs
If a child has any special needs, allergies, or health concerns, please note this when registering. Participants must be able to administer their own medication (i.e. inhalers, epi-pens) if needed, as Aquarium Staff are not permitted to administer medications. Medications will not be provided by the Aquarium (ex. Tylenol, Benedryl, etc.). Liability
Kemah Aquarium Restaurant, Landry’s Restaurants, Inc., and its employees are not liable for any injury or loss suffered by you or the minor child during the program. Additionally, you are waiving your right to make demand upon Kemah Aquarium Restaurant, Landry’s Restaurants, Inc., and its employees for payment of any damages suffered by you or the minor child during the program, whether such damages are caused by physical injury, loss of property, or acts of a third party.
Program Availability
We will need a minimum of 10 participants to run this program. If this minimum is not met, you will be contacted and full refunds will be processed if necessary 1 week prior.
The Aquarium also reserves the right to cancel any program at any time for the health and safety of our employees, animals, and visitors, in which case full refunds will be issued.
Guidelines
- Registrations are OPEN! Register online today!
- We will contact you by email after you have completed your online registration(s).
- Email AQKEeducation@Ldry.com for more info.
- Parents or Guardians must check in at the Party Zone for drop-offs at precisely 9:00am. Early drop-off is 8:00am.
- Parents or Guardians must check out and pick-up at the Main Entrance of the Kemah Aquarium Restaurant at precisely 4:00pm. Late Pickup is 5:00pm.
- Notice: If someone other than whom is listed on your registration is assigned to pick-up your child participant, we are required to contact you to confirm their release for best safety practices. Please enter this information in their registration under emergency contact.
- Ages 7-13
- No outside food or beverages are allowed.
- Assigned guides will be with the group at all times.
- We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items the duration of the program.
