Stargaze for the Holidays

*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 12/21/2020
There’s something special going on every weekend in December at the Houston Museum of Natural Science! Exclusive Member Santa Events, Arts & Crafts, Holiday Movies and more!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Join us for a rare Cosmic Conjunction on the winter solstice, Dec. 21, 2020. Imagine Jupiter and Saturn in the same telescope view, closer than they have been in almost 400 years! See Mars through a telescope as our rover races toward it. Then join Dr. Carolyn Sumners live in the Planetarium to discover how this conjunction happened, what we can expect next year from Mars, and the connection between this conjunction and the famous Christmas Star.

*Times, dates, and prices of any activity posted to our calendars are subject to change. Please be sure to click through directly to the organization’s website to verify.
