The Texas Food Truck Showdown

In 2015 the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce brought to Texas the very first statewide Texas food truck showdown. In just five short months, the chamber created an experience that would soon become one of Waco’s signature events. In the midst of subpar weather, the clouds broke on March 28th and allowed for an outstanding event. With an anticipated 5,000 people in attendance for the event and 20 food trucks secured from around the state to compete for The Texas Food Truck Champion title, this unique event far exceeded goals with 35 food trucks traveling to Waco, Texas from all over the state to compete while serving upwards of 15,000 people.
