STEP BACK IN TIME AND DISCOVER how settlers, soldiers, and frontier families treated illness and injury in early Texas. Join volunteer Doc Rick for Texas Frontier Medicine, an engaging demonstration featuring both replica and authentic historical artifacts that highlight the tools, remedies, and medical practices of the 19th century. From herbal treatments to the instruments used by frontier doctors, visitors will gain a deeper appreciation for the challenges of maintaining health on the Texas frontier and the ingenuity of those who lived through it.
