Toastmasters Youth Leadership Program by VNS Voices

The program is a workshop, conducted in eight sessions. Each session lasts one and a half hours. Participants learn how to prepare and present a speech, conduct meetings, listen effectively, and evaluate what they have heard. By the end of the eighth session, they’ll have developed self-confidence and interpersonal communication skills that they will use for the rest of their lives.
The workshop is open to middle and high school students under the age of 18. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. The participant must be able to participate in all 8 sessions. VNS Voices Toastmasters Club is underwriting the costs. The Youth Leadership Program is free to the first 20 middle and high students under the age of 18.
The participants will receive a Youth Leadership Program Workbook in session one along with a Youth Leadership Evaluation Guide. Upon completion of the program, the participants will be invited to a Presentation Banquet after Session Eight for participants’ parents, friends, and community leaders. During the banquet, the participants will have an opportunity to display their new skills and will be recognized for their work in the program with a certificate.
