Together We Soar: A Community Mural and Kite-Making Workshop
Join us in taking to the skies to kick off Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, where families come together to create kites symbolizing freedom, hope, and healing. This event honors the vital work of Daya, Tahirih Justice Center Houston, and BPSOS Houston in supporting AAPI survivors of gender-based violence. Under the guidance of lead artist Ruhee Maknojia, participants will decorate a community art mural and craft personalized kites that embody resilience and cultural pride. As we decorate and fly these kites, visitors will forge connections, share stories, and uplift the community. This inspiring afternoon of art, reflection, and unity will commemorate the strength and diversity of Asian and Asian American experiences.
RSVPs are requested for this free event.
