The second annual Walk, Run and Rollwill be held September 26, 2015 from 9:00 to noon at the Rob Fleming Park in The Woodlands. This fun community-wide walk and festival is designed to build special needs awareness, show ways to adapt, highlight abilities, and promote integration. The entire community, both “typical families” and families that support someone with a special challenge are invited to come out and enjoy the fun integrated together.
Participants will enjoy a “walk” as we mobilize along a 1.5K scenic path, wide enough for everyone from weekend walker to the child that runs ahead or the individual in a wheelchair. The festival that follows includes food, games, and fun activities that include adaptations so everyone can be included. Family-friendly entertainment will take place from the stage, including performances from individuals with special needs highlighting their talents and abilities. The event is about having fun together, whatever your abilities. We will also have a silent auction benefiting Special Life Network. Registration is $10, with a $2 service fee.Participants that register on-line before September 15th will receive a FREE Event T-shirt. Register at www.speciallife.org!
