The Br'er Rabbit's stories tell tales of how a clever little rabbit outsmarted larger and stronger animals. Originated in African folklore, they were brought to America by African slaves and made popular in the Southern United States.

Originated in African folklore, they were brought to America by African slaves and made popular in the Southern United States. Join Ms. Jean Donatto as she tells the "tails" of Br'er Rabbit then stop on over to our newest exhibit, Cum Yah Gullah and travel to the islands off the shore of the Carolinas.
