Thanks to TXU Energy, the Houston Zoo is once again staying open late until 8:30 p.m., so you can enjoy the animals in the cooler evening weather. Join us for Cool Nights every Friday evening from June 26 through August 21. From 5 to 8 p.m. guests can enjoy added music and kid-friendly activities that are sure to entertain kids and adults alike! All activities are included in Zoo admission.August 7: Fairy TailsPrincesses and pirates—join us for an enchanting evening! Meet Aurora the orangutan, Smaug the komodo dragon, and Elsa and Belle the goats. Plus, learn how you can help these species live happily ever after. After enjoying Cool Nights, head across the street to Miller Outdoor Theatre and join the University of Houston for the Houston Shakespeare Festival, featuring The Merchant of Venice.
