Fields of Honor
Fields of Honor: A Luminous Tribute at San Jacinto will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This special event aims to commemorate the sacrifice of over 21,500 Texans who gave their lives in armed conflicts. Take a drive through the battleground and view the luminaries at your leisure with your family as you view the luminaries that symbolize not only brave soldiers but also cherished sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, and spouses.

The Fields of Honor: A Luminous Tribute at San Jacinto will honor Texans who lost their lives in conflicts from the Texas Revolution to Afghanistan. The fields of the San Jacinto Battlefield will be illuminated by 21,500 luminarias, each representing a life sacrificed in battle. These candles symbolize not only brave soldiers but also cherished sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, and spouses. Attending this event will be a unique experience for everyone, providing solace to some and stirring deep emotions in others. Ultimately, it will be an inspiring sight for all.
