Juneteenth Celebration

Juneteenth is here! Enjoy our many activities that embrace and celebrate the African American spirit, including a special performance! The oldest national commemoration of the ending of slavery, Juneteenth, truly celebrates freedom for all. On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston to inform enslaved African-Americans of their freedom, putting into effect the Emancipation Proclamation. Today, Juneteenth celebrates education, achievement and freedom. Celebrate this pivotal moment in American history!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
